Zagreb & the Plitvice lakes

Fly directly to the capital Zagreb in about two hours, the perfect starting point for your journey. Zagreb is home to many museums dedicated to the country’s history and culture. From the capital, it is about a two-hour drive to Plitvice Lakes National Park. This natural wonder is rightfully listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is not to be missed. The park consists of countless crystal-clear lakes, waterfalls and rivers. Wooden walkways allow visitors to explore the park up close.

The coast of Croatia

After exploring the city and nature, are you ready for relaxation and entertainment? Then drive about three hours to the beautiful Istrian peninsula and enjoy the Croatian coast. Discover charming towns such as Pula, Rovinj and Poreč. In the charming harbour town of Poreč, you can wander through the many picturesque alleys that give the town its character.

Dalmatia

Continue your journey further south to the region of Dalmatia. In about three hours you will reach the remarkable city of Zadar. Here you will find many cathedrals, Roman forums and contemporary art. According to many visitors, Zadar has the most beautiful sunset in the world. After your visit, drive another hour and a half south to Šibenik. From this relaxed city, you can easily visit the national parks of Krka and the Kornati Islands. In Krka you can enjoy stunning lakes and waterfalls, and even take a refreshing swim. Looking for ultimate peace and quiet? Take a boat trip and visit one of the 89 islands, most of which are uninhabited.

The cultural city of Split

The route continues to the city of Split. If you have enough time, it is highly recommended to stop in the town of Trogir along the way. This town features a mix of architectural styles thanks to the many different civilizations that once lived here. From Šibenik, you can reach Split in just under two hours. Split is a paradise for culture lovers. There are countless historic buildings to admire from different periods, with the highlight being the Palace of Diocletian.

The Pearl of the Adriatic: Dubrovnik

Get back in your rental car and travel to your final destination and one of the most beautiful cities in Europe: Dubrovnik. This city is often referred to as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Along the way, you will drive through stunning landscapes filled with mountains and lakes. Stop at viewpoints to take in the spectacular scenery. In Dubrovnik, walk along the two-kilometre-long city walls surrounding the historic centre and enjoy breathtaking views. Many scenes from the television series Game of Thrones were filmed in both Dubrovnik and Split. Are you a fan? Then be sure to book a special tour. At the end of your holiday, simply return your rental car at our location at the airport and fly home on a direct flight feeling completely recharged.

Please note: when driving from Split to Dubrovnik, the road briefly passes through Bosnia and Herzegovina for a few kilometres. This so-called transit is free of charge with your rental car.
