Formula 1 race weekends in Europe
Of the 24 Formula 1 races scheduled for the upcoming season, about half take place in Europe. In 2026, for example, you can attend not one but two Grand Prix races in Spain. The first race, held at the circuit in Barcelona, takes place early in the season on June 14. The second Grand Prix is just after the summer break on September 13 in Madrid, only a 30-minute drive from the vibrant city centre. In 2026, the Formula 1 race in Zandvoort will be held for the final time on August 23. After the overwhelming success in 2021, it’s definitely a race you should see at least once. Renting a car may not be the first option that comes to mind, but we recommend it. After all, news reports have described overcrowded or even cancelled trains heading to the circuit.
